maplin are doing an aluminium flightcase intended for a record deck at a reduced rate at the moment.
i paid £30 (down from £50) The lid lifts of and I'm going to house a 17" TFT monitor and quad splitter that i use with an MX50 mixer.
They're also doing a B&W 5" tv/Mon for about £13. usefiull when you just want to see waht a remote camera can see.

What additional details do you have about the monitor ie part number?
Yes these cases are pretty good because they are much deeper than a normal case. I use one to hold a full rycote basket kit and suspension mount in it's original foam as supplied from Rycote. There is also enough room for a couple of 10m XLR leads in there too. Whilst not as strong as a 'proper' flight case they are good enough for the back of a van/car.

VW58N - I was too excited about the price! £14.99 inc vat.
The cases are strong enough to prevent knocks - less rugged than a proper camera case but I don't chuck my stuff about. I used to roadie and proper gigging flight cases often weigh more than the contents. I don't know if i'd pay £50 for one but 30's ok
Here's a link to the cases
