Apologies for the site being down this afternoon (GMT).

The monitoring service I use (InternetSeer) tells me that the site was inaccessible for about an hour and a half.

I'll try to find out what happened and post the info here.

My site - hosted by the same company as this - was down at the same time, came back up at the same time, but has now disappeared again.

Oh, and thanks for the tip-off about InternetSeer! I've just subscribed. They check the site every hour and send an email alert if they don't get through.

I'm off to bed now - I'll count the emails in the morning...

According to the company that hosts our boards,

"There was a failure on the switch your server was connected to. We had to
put a new one in to replace it."

Did you have to pay with your 'Switch' card?

thats a long time to swap a switch over ............ and yes i do know what a switch is

Nice to see you got a response from them.

I sent an email to their support team when the site went down for the second time that day (and was out for a further four hours) and I've heard nowt back.
