As a result of an article in the January 2002 edition of Computer Video Apple is suing the publishers for applying their 'QuickTime' name to an inferior Microsoft product.
Microsoft is also suing the publishers for referring to Media Player as 'QuickTime player (version 5)'.
The Short Film Makers Marketing School says this is a lesson in making sure your title credits are correct.

RF with apologies to Apple and Microsoft
Ah, no! This was just a trick! What I did was take a QuickTime movie of Windows Media Player running. But then I cropped it down so users could get a better look at the Windows Media interface
So you see, all totally correct (Err, Bob, do you think they'll buy that???)
I saw this and thought "oh, they've put the wrong picture, or title, in. I expect they'll put an apology for the error in the next issue".
For CV to be sued over it is utter madness. Mistakes happen. Jesus, it'd be like me suing M/S cause it crashed, or had a bug! You'd think the people at QT or MS would have better things to do, like making their software work properly! Hey, Bob, could you say you were using a MS product, and IT was responsible for inserting the wrong picture? Just a thought...
The world has gone mad and I want to get off.
Wavey.
I think Media Player's tons better than QT anyway.
So there.
La la.
Wavey.
Wavey, I think (hope!) that Ferryman was kidding!
It was, I presume just a matter of the wrong caption being inserted next to the image, but only Bob C can answer that.
But Windows Media Player better than QuickTime? Now there is an incitement to violence if ever I heard it! I'm calling my lawyer
