Just a quick suggestion, but how about a new section called "Audio" ?
As you know video editors also have to edit/compose/arrange music etc and there are (I suspect) a lot of folk on here that use Logic/Soundtrack/Steinberg SX/Peak DV etc etc
In this new section we could discuss all aspects of Audio/Midi/Composing/Arranging of music using all the popular music sequencing programmes out there. Would also cover the hardware side of things like Midi controllers, mixing desks like the Macki range, Mics, Midi Keyboards etc etc.
This would also encorage more musicians to the site (if that's what you want of course) over time once Google Spiders pick up on it?
The only prblem at the moment is that people are asking for all sorts of new forums.
At present we have the wedding forum, the situations vacant forum and now the audio forum all being requested for creation.
If we have too many we will spread things too thinly in mt opinion.

Creative Cow have around 125 forums, each and every one of them is packed with posts, if you arn't interested in the Music side of things, you simply don't click on it ?
Audio section is the best request yet!
An "Audio" or "Sound" section would be a good idea as sound related questions seem to pop up in several areas and I have missed some (or replied very late) because they were in a section I did not expect.
But don't confuse sound with music - the sound is the most important part of the video in most cases (it's where the information is - the pictures just illustrate it).
