Hi Rob

Have you tried the search facility on this board, if you do you'll find that many say Pricebuster Tapes are amongst the best for supply and delivery.

Can be found here: http://www.pricebuster.org.uk/pricebuster/products.asp?Parent=C08&

Amongst ythe favourites we continually recommend are 7dayshop and APRvideo.

Get my test cards document, and cards for 625, 525, 720 and 1080. Thanks to Gavin Gration for hosting them.
Camera settings documents are held by Daniel Browning and at the EBU
My book, 'Circles of Confusion' is available here.
Also EBU Tech.3335 tells how to test cameras, and R.118 tells how to use the results.

I'd still say APRVideo for DVHS, but I've never tried looking for them.

KVJ Fairdeal £1.35 panasonic.

I think I remember BobC mentioning them for something years ago.

I second KVJ Fairdeal - as a Londoner I value the fact that I can pop in and pick up what I need. DVDs, CDs, memory cards, batteries etc - all at good prices - as well as Mini DV tapes... Always end up buying more than I planned!

Me too - KVJ Fairdeal are very cheap (and just round the corner from where I work) Unfortunately they only take CASH!

I know KVJ only take cash, I have always picked mine up, but I assumed the website would take other payments.

Yeah, KVJ take credit cards over their website. Delivery usually 3 - 4 days, no tracking or anything swish like that, so I do prefer to buy at the shop, but I have noticed that some prices are cheaper on website than at shop, so can be worth it. And there's the cashflow advantage of credit cards, of course.

KVJ do take "cheques" as well as cash - for those who an still find a chequebook! Slightly quaint - but as I say, I do find them convenient if you're reasonably local. They open Saturday mornings too, which can be handy.

P.S
Like many others I have always made a point of visiting KVJ Fairdeal whenever I'm in London. The reason - Cheapest price and good service ( Dad, whose now retired, used to take cheques from me without any cheque guarantee card support !!. However times have changed.)l

I'm half surprised if you can find someone in the average supermarket who knows much about breakfast cereals!

We had been happy with Pricebuster but they ditched the Manchester affiliation with Shadoos a couple of years ago.

Since then we use Sound & Video Services in Sharston, Manchester.

Not sure what delivery costs are. We tend to stock up and collect.

Sony miniDV 60 tapes are currently £1.80 incl VAT based on 50+ units.

I just picked up 50 x JVC 60min tapes for £79.99 from yeomanselectrical on Ebay. That works out £1.60 per tape. VERY REASONABLE FOR JVC's
