How can I tell how old my BIOS is?

Thanks

During the early part of the boot up sequence, info about the bios usually appears on screen, but sometimes, too quickly to read.

Use the pause key to stop it long enough to read it (press any other key to continue boot up).

If you miss it, switch off (or reset) before Windows kicks in and try again.

With the info you gain, you can probably then visit the motherboard maker's web site and get a fix on the bios, assuming the date isn't apparent from the info itself.
