Hi Chris,
I liked it, but where were the Red Arrows??? Surely they have got to be a selling feature of the film?? You have to have got better footage of them than I got in this photo......

Thanks for comments so far. The clips in the trailer are from Thursday only - the Reds and the Sea Vixen did not display on that day. There will be an updated trailer soon, and the DVD will include a lot of interviews and news pieces about some of the planes - it will not only be the display. We have got some aerial stuff taken during the display coming from the exhibitors too - details soon!

As this is the review my work section...

Why just music and no sync mixed in ? The sound of a Merlin is one of the great noises of all time.

Nice trailer! Looks very exciting. I would suggest a few clips of happy spectators to break up the shots of the aircraft, but other than that, great work!

Do you have any tips for following quick movement at a distance? You seem to be an expert at that! Your camera follows the aerobats very smoothly.

Yes, agreed re the Merlin. The idea was just for a fast paced trailer with lots of cuts just as a quick advert (cut in approximately two hours, from the first day of a 4 day event.) The DVD will include commentary plus ambient sound.

Mike, we could not include any cutaways of the crowd as we were filming with cameras high on a rooftop - which meant we were a long way from the crowd, but, also meant we were (vertically) much nearer the planes. It helped in keeping the planes in shot, as did the fact that we were right on the datum point.

we have actually used multi cameras for the DVD, but did not get them back to the edit suite in time to make the first day trailer cut.
