Can a computer RGB be wired to bnc

Hi all.

Been a while since I have been on here.  I have a question that hopefully can be answered.

I want to use a computer monitor as a viewing monitor for when I am filming. Can the other end of the RGB lead coming out the monitor be converted to a BNC plug ? (this end would originally plug in to the computer via RGB too) I have seen these online http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3M-HQ-15-PIN-SVGA-PLUG-TO-3-X-BNC-RGB-COMPONENT-VIDEO-CABLE-RED-GREEN-BLUE-LEAD-/360461242300?pt=UK_Computing_Sound_Vision_Video_Cables_Adapters&hash=item53ed2a0fbc   but one end is the RGB plug and the other end 3 x BNC plugs. Would only 1 of these 3 BNC plugs supply a picture ? Or do I need a conversion box ?

So basically I have a BNC output from my camera that then plugs in to a monitor via a BNC plug. As the monitor only has a RGB input plug and not a BNC I need to convert the cable to make this work.  Sorry if this is a bit around the houses.

Thank you.

I`m no expert but my feeling would be that your output BNC from the camera  would be composite video & the input into the monitor would need to be a Red, Blue, Green source, RGB so my feeling is that you would probably need some kind of conversion! Might be an idea to get in contact with Keene!

i've very unlikely that your camera outputs RGB - even if it did it would not be possible to plug it into a computer monitor without a scan converter to change its signal format.

Computer monitors use VGA which is basically RGBHV
Cameras normally output YcRcB (component video) or composite.

Please post the model numbers of the equipment in question and we may be able to be more help

Thank you sleepytom but as I just posted I have ordered the conversion box required. Thank you for responding to my post.
