Canopus Expands European Presence With New Pan-European Management Team

READING, UK - (July 1, 2005) - Canopus, the leading manufacturer of real-time non-linear editing solutions, today announced an expansion of operations with the creation of a new pan-European management team.

Stephan Kexel takes the role of Director of Broadcast Sales, Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). A qualified engineer, his company provided technical support for several blue-chip companies before he left to set up Canopus Germany in 2000. Stephan has over 10 years’ experience in developing European sales and distribution channels.

Elaine Lee takes the role of Chief Finance Officer. Currently COO of Canopus USA, Elaine has held positions with both financial and operational responsibilities with a number of global electronics companies.

Steve Wise will take up post as Director of Marketing, EMEA. Formerly Country Manager of FAST Multimedia UK, Steve has over 15 years' sales and marketing experience in the field of multimedia and computer-based video editing.

Jeromy Young will be Director of Channel Sales. Jeromy started in Product Management four years ago, helping to develop many of the current video products in Kobe, Japan. Proficient in the Japanese language, he brings excellent communication skills and technical knowledge to the European Team and a direct link to HQ.

Colin Morris becomes Director of Engineering. Colin, a qualified engineer, began his career working with solid state signalling and telemetry systems. He has a wealth of PC experience, encompassing interface design, image scanning and, more recently, designing and building turnkey NLE systems.
