Capture Problem

I need help. I just bought DV.Now AV hardware but when I try
to capture from my Sony DV camera an error
saying ' Clipper has cause an error in
DVRESampler.dll' and close the program. Thanks in advance.

Tell us more about your computer (processor, OS, peripherals, drives, etc.) and which version of the DV.now drivers you are using. Some retail packages may have rather old drivers.

Pentium 4 1.6Mhz
Asus P4T mobo
512mb RDRam
Two 30Gb IBM HD in Raid O config using
Abit Hot Rod 100Pro controller
Windows ME
Driver ver 1.5

I tried to install driver ver 1.7 but it keep on asking for setup disk 7 until I got fed up and aborted the installation.

You probably need Release 1.6 or later. Release 1.5 may not work well.

Check to be sure you have all of the setup files (13 of them, setup.exe and setup .W02 through .W13), and be sure the they are named correctly. Even a minor variation in file name will trash the setup process. I saw a case where one of the setup files ended up with a double file extension (e.g., setup.W07.W07) courtesy of MSIE's fiel dialog box). Also be sure they are from the same download version.

I've read of a similar problem when trying to install ver 1.7 while browsing at a Fast forum at http://bcastvideo.com. It was from a guy called Stephen Sodergren. But no remedy was offered as obviously he was at the wrong forum. Anyway I still couldn't get ver 1.7 to install.Still keep on insisting for setup disk 7.
