Auction is nothing to do with me but this at £120 is a very good price for an H50 head and legs, I have two H50 heads and they are very good and hold up to 10kg:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Libec-H50-fluid-head-T58-tripod-BR-1-spreader_W0QQitemZ170449522490QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CamerasPhoto_CameraAccessories_TripodsSupports?hash=item27af954f3a#ht_12682wt_1167

Nearly bought it myself Rob as the head is worth the £120 on its own and is in better condition than one of the ones I have.

The only problem is it has a mid-level spreader but no feet. So you would have had to buy the low-level spreader or a set of feet for it additionally. I like the Libec tripods too and have one we use with the EX3 which it's fine for. In my mind the only decent low-cost tripods under £1k.

I agree with Chrome you need the base spreader to get the best stability, I have one with the mid spreader but I also have some feet on it or it is mainly used on the tracking dolly.

The H50 is very good and pro like though and has two stage drag for tilt and pan, I paid around £300 for my tripods with H50's second hand so £120 was a very good price.

I think it depends on the legs John, I have both but the mid level on the single pole bottom leg type tripod is too unstable and the legs actually bend when the camera is panned.
