Take a look at any monthly mag, you'll find they all do it.

as i recall it was only back in the summer of 2002 that CV finally gave in to this rediculous system which i'm sure there is supported by sustantial evidence that says it "improves sales" I don't really see how other than by confusing the consumer and making them think that they're buying a mag that they've actually already got... which sounds a bit immoral to me...
