Which do I choose the Duron 1300 or the Athlon 1100 both same price both 200 mhz fsb or should I pay the extra £30 and go for an XP1600?

Or should I save half the cost or more and go for a Duron 900?

It is for DV editing remember - so would I need the extra speed of the XP or would it just be wasted?

Yes I am serious - I need answers

Thanks

Mick

Rendering transitions etc are CPU intensive. The present sweet spot is the XP1700+ at about £117, however this advice depends on if you are building a new PC or are upgrading. Some existing socket A MBs cannot take the organic packaged Athlon XP/MP.
