Sorry, should have put this up a day or so ago!

DVC Open Day

On this Friday, 25th November, we will have our last open day of this year. We will be showing all our various products, concentrating on HDV editing, of course.

We will have here, available for you to see, the new JVC GY-HD101 camera, as well as our two Sonys, the HDR-FX1 and the HDR-HC1. We will also have the latest products from Canopus and Avid - this will be the first showing of the new version of Avid Liquid as far as we know - as well as demonstrations on Boris Red, Adobe Premiere Pro and Avid Xpress Pro.

We will also be demonstrating Newtek's new, and excellent, TriCaster - and we are also arranging to use the TriCaster to broadcast the entire day's sessions in our main demonstration room over the internet.

This will actually be the first time we have attempted this and we will be doing so all day, with help from our friends at makeni, who will be handling taking the file created from our offices and sent out on our normal BT broadband connection and making it available so lots of people can watch it at once.

If you want to come to the open day then it would be helpful, but not essential, if you register on our website. This will just help us plan our main talks in the downstairs demo room which can fit about 30 people. We will still have systems and staff available to talk to you in the upstairs demo rooms anyway.

We will publish the list and approximate times of our talks on our website on Thursday. Please note that if you are planning to tune in and watch these over the internet that our timings are always approximate - we do vary somewhat on the day depending on what customers at the office are most interested in!

We will publish the link for watching the webcast on the internet on our home pages, http://www.dvc.uk.com.

Anyway we hope you can make it, preferably physically, but if not virtually, and that you find the day informative, interesting and fun!
