Okay I'll ask a stupid question. How come and I don't have the manual, I don't see any third party program in the pull down menu when trying to export clips captured in FF 1.7. What's the trick?
Around the upper right hand corner of the FF toolbar is an icon that looks like the letter "U" but turned sideways. I foget what they call it. Just press the button and clips automatiucally get transfered to Premiere or what ever program you have set up.
You dont have to go thru pull down menus (except for setting it up). It is probably already set up by default.
It works with ver 1.6. Go figure. I just picked premiere 6 in the pulldown of the export module and it launched premiere and sent the clips over.
I'm having the same problem with 1.6 build 240. When I click the "Link to third party product" icon in the upper-right corner, the "Export settings" dialog comes up, but the pull-down menu where I'm supposed to select "Adobe Premiere 6.0" is empty. No wonder, when I click "Done", nothing happens.
I tried to upgrade to the new 1.7 beta version, but it didn't work either. I'll try to go back to version 1.5 SP1 and see if it helps. It just takes too many restarts...

It looks as you have installed your AP or UMS after FF installed. FF must be installed last. Moreover: DIF project -> AP, AVI project -> MSPro.
I believe the Premiere6 export is not available to AVI projects, only DIF (this solved the same problem for me). Of course, AVIs captured from FF can be imported normlly from in Premiere6. I'd love to verify this, but opening FF just got me a "Hardware not found or not working properly" message. Damn thing...
Windows 2000? ;)
