Feedback needed please on new Music Video shot with the Canon EOS 650D

Watchable but.....the timing of the cuts looked and felt totally wrong, they didn't flow with the rhythm of the song, the back shots looked out of focus, ie: not intentionally made to look soft focus just not in focus, a bit too much time spent on the TV effects between 3.20 and 3.52 - with a 'live performance it's the band we want to see, with a 'music video' the effects would have be fine, personally for the sections without words I'd have gone more for close ups of hands, faces, drum hits etc - just my opinion, I'm sure there'll be others! 

given that it's a ballad, the hand held stuff is too wobbly. You'd get away with it if the number was more up tempo.

 

Using a tripod more is obvious, or a glider if you want movement. or tracks.

 

I knocked up a dolly system using a bit of ply, a £15 set of second hand roller blades and some alli plus some plastic pipe. You can do it for £50

Hi Dave, yes your totally right i was thinking of something like a dolly system thou ran out of time before we had to shoot!
