I've got a shiny new Sennheiser MKE300 and a Rode Videomic for the weddings I've got coming up soon.
Did some basic testing at home - and found that levels are either way too hot, or around -12db for a clear, but quiet-ish signal. can ge this up (along with any noise floor) in post, but is this about right ?? What are you guys doing? I have the auto level turned fully off, as this seemed to always result in way too hot a level.
