I can`t be the only one with a flip out 2.7inch LCD that I cannot see in bright sunlight!
I have a Hoodman, but would like an eyepiece to get a better view. There are plenty of pictures of these fitted to and made for the DSLR, but nothing for a LCD side screen. Manufacturers seem to think the hood is enough!
Any suggestions please.
There is a loup[e that works on up to 3" DSLRs and I don't see that it would"t work on a video camera.
You might have to improvise with elastic and velcro to get it to mount though
That would be a problem, and it would still cover all the screen and it`s not cheap. So I`ve been giving this some thought!
Much as I like my HF M36, the screen is not useable in bright sunlight. Although I have a Hoodman, you can`t touch the screen. I have made a plastic one with an open base and an eyepiece, which is a bit fiddly to put together, and annoys the wife.
I am considering the Canon G25. It`s a good price at the moment, and I have spare batteries and charger although it`s a little larger. The Panasonic X920 is smaller, but more expensive.
I have yet to see one in the flesh, but I don`t think i`ll be disappointed. I note that it has a lens cap, and not the automatic one that i`m used too......
