I am trying to export a 3 mins Premiere Pro 2 project to .mov for uploading to the web. The .mov file needs to be less than 100mb but I don't see anyway of restricting the file to this size or of altering the dimensions. Anyone help ?

you need to use adobe media encoder, maybe you are just using export to movie which restricts your options for encoding. The media encoder is in the file menu as well. You can choose qt and export with whatever settings you want. What are you uploading it to and we would be able to advise on good settings to use.

Thanks Michael. You are right, I was barking up the wrong export.
I am trying to upload it to Vimeo and other similar sites. The clip is HDV widescreen - 1440x1080

I should have said I also have the Matrox media encoder alongside the Adobe. Would that do a better job ?

yup, not sure about vimeo settings, think it uses 720p though.

Matrox media encoder is excactly same as adobes except it uses the hardware on your card to accerelate the export. I always use it.

Thanks Michael. Any advice on the settings for bit rate and dimensions while keeping the 3 mins file under 100 Mb ?

haven't actually got round to using hd in vimeo yet but this link seems to give all the info you need.

Let me know if you get decent results.
