Recently built a new machine i7 2600k, 16GB RAM with a GeForce GTX 560.
We were seeing 92 degrees using the standard low profile i7 cooler under full load. No amount of reseating/pasting helped. It was securely mounted. No overclock.
Twenty quid Cooler Master 212+ installed today runs at 60 degrees under full load.
I've never seen such a dramatic difference - Intel are very naughty - some people are claiming review samples had a much better (Gulftown triple heat pipe) unit BUT retail chips ship with the low profile junk cooler.
Looking for a good cooler for a 2700K myself.
Thinking of one of these.

Any thoughts.
Changing the ''paste'' alone can improve the thermal efficiency.
My work i7 with 75% ram in use and virtual machines running , has a max of 27 degrees on any core.
I have bought a few components from http://www.quietpc.com/gb-en-gbp/home , and service is first class , quality of components is first class too.
I would look @ http://www.quietpc.com/gb-en-gbp/products/amdcooling/ac-freezer7-pro-rev2 for example.
Thanks Gary.
We did see the CPU temperature drop to nice levels with the Coolermaster BUT since then Asus have released a few BIOS updates for the P8PZ68.
Although not mentioned in the BIOS change-logs the system now reports even lower temps - not quite as low as Gary's (have to look again to be specific).
This suggests that the initial readings we saw were incorrectly reported by the BIOS/software. The stock cooler could actually have been OK but I'll never know for certain as it's not going back in.
The £25 quid one looks to have a £30 advantage over the £55 one from where I'm sitting ;)
We used this one: http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Cooling/CPU+Coolers/Coolermaster+Hyper+212+Plus+CPU+Cooler+?productId=39577&page=2&rqcType=
Does the job but was a bit fiddly to sort out the fan clips - maybe they all are?
Thanks Gavin, i seen that one you linked too as well.
