INCITE EDITOR 3.3 RELEASED
Geneva, January 7, 2005 – Incite Editor 3.3, perhaps the most important upgrade in the history of Incite, is now ready for release, and FREE for all registered users of Incite Editor version 3.0 or higher!
This release features thorough optimisation of Incite’s network-based production workflow, delivering important, user-approved enhancements that will literally re-vitalize the way you edit 24/7. Developed and tested in live “stress test†production, both as a standalone edit suite and as an integral part of shared SAN and NAS production environments using certified storage and workstation components, the release ensures optimum performance and preserves Incite’s rock solid stability.
“Strategically, 3.3 is a key upgrade for independent professionals, post production houses and broadcast facilities,†said Amir Rijavec, Incite Product Manager. “3.3 delivers the initial components of our new software architecture, allowing easy migration to Incite’s future technologies and an enhanced product line featuring resolution and codec independent workflow. As a result, our migration path opens the technology doors to HD, SD and proxy-based (low res) editing, all completely transparent to the user. The market has demonstrated it welcomes our concept of delivering network-aware applications, and Incite Editor 3.3 plays a key roll in unleashing our network-driven design still further.â€
Version 3.3 brings improvements in virtually all areas of Incite Editor:
· Optimised to take advantage of hyper threading CPUs.
· Polished User Interface based on feedback from production
environments dramatically improves usability.
· Streamlined handling of audio mixer configurations, audio scrubbing and full duplex voice over.
· “Render immediately†intelligence to improve background rendering for software based effects. In multi-layer compositions, processing can now be faster than some hardware accelerated effects.
· Better support for file monitoring in SAN environments and with official support for certified NAS solutions.
· Support for new ergonomically defined keyboard layouts.
· Numerous timeline and editing improvements, a list of which will be published on our website.
The upgrade is completely free for all registered users of Incite Editor 3.0 and higher. If you are new to Incite or are editing on versions lower than 3.0, you can take advantage of special offers that will be posted on our website.
