Any idea why the video locks up on me about 20 seconds in when I try to play it? You think it might be a problem on my end with my computer? It's a shame too because I really want to watch it.

Yep, that's all it was.

Great music! I like the way you cut to the horn hits. I'd feel right at home at that party. That looks a lot like my family! (If you'll notice there is a vowel at the end of my name!) Some great classic Italian "faccias" in there and you get good, sneaky candids of them! (I hate when they notice the camera. My pet peeve.)

A few nitpicks...

It seemed like during the photo shoot outdoors that there was some inconsistency in exposure. A few shots looked blown out, especially the one of the very pretty girl goofing around. Also there was a little too much of the empty room shots for my taste. But I'm sure the couple loved it.

I loved that you noticed the young girl writing in the guest book and then bothered to see what she had written. It's details like that which can make a piece rise above the ordinary.

Thx for your comments Mike:)

Yes there are a couple of over exposed shots, especially the girl, although it seems more emphasized online and not half as bad on tv!!!

Sometimes when you are rushing around multi tasking something gives, but I still put the shot in coz I liked it.

Thx again

Don't misunderstand me...that particular shot should DEFINTELY be in there!! :D

It gets tough, when shooting us swarthier complected people, to find the right exposure for skin tones and yet not to overexpose and lose the fine details of the white wedding dress.

I echo mike's comments, well paced, cut to beat, nice rack focus and good exposure in the marque. Not to worried about he exposure in the garden, it is live and all done to a budget.

Yes, many of them were quite frightening but you know, even if we are not "connected" we cultivate that look to scare the non-Italians! ;)

Yes, I agree. The focus on the pretty girl's rack was excellent! ;)

(Rack is American slang for bosom, in case ya didn't know!)

Liked it a lot and I didn't think there was too much of the wedding breakfast decor at all. When the Bride & Groom spend so long planning those details they like to see them on film - especially as the couple don't get to see the 'wow' factor they have planned on the day. By the time they are announced into the room the wow factor is overshadowed by the crowds. You've shown them all the details they paid for, but in a lively living way!

I really liked that. You captured it well. It reminded me so much of my family. I got a little choked up at the end when the couple was kissing in the midst of the crowd, all covered in Silly String.

What a pretty bride! I know I'm biased but...Italian girls are the BEST! ;) Cent' anni!!

Flame i am not offended any any way, It is nice to hear these comments and nice to know that it is not just clients who think your wedding video are great, as they I am sure they are biased.

When you work alone at home and see lots of others peoples work on the Internet like I do, it is nice to get genuine compliments from others in the same trade, its says that youe have work that other professionals look up to and admire and they too will strive to take the quality of work higher.

I just see my work as good and sometime I would say to critical in some cases, in it's OK but I am sure i could have done better.

Thank you for all your comments.

Since giving this film to the B+G last week I have had 10 enquires from Italian brides to be!!!

Looks like I am going to need your help Mike! next year looks like an Italian year for me.

I am amazed word goes around like wildfire in the Italian community. They were literally over the moon and said they would recommend me but I was not expecting this.

I guess Italians have big families and lots of bambino's!!!

Ha haaa! That's great! I wish I was on your side of the pond so I could be your second shooter!!

We used to have big families back in the day, but I don't think that's so much the case anymore. IMO you captured the passion and love of life that Italians bring to a celebration like that and that's why they are spreading the word about you. It's not that others don't FEEL as we do, it's just that Italians seem to be more comfortable SHOWING it.

My only advice would be to get in the middle of things with them and show as much as you can of the touching and hugging and kissing that goes on. It's very important. We are very physical. If I was doing an Italian wedding vid I would try to create a "hugging/kissing" montage of all the family members greeting each other as they arrived at the church or reception hall. It's a guaranteed tear-jerker, especially if you catch a few good shots of the older folks who might not be around much longer.

Mike, spot on, they do love the kissing hugging etc. Funny enough I have all that going on as the guests arrive at the church:D don't let me upload another sequence:D my bandwidth is running out:D

The thing is if I get one of those future weddings wrong I could still end up with a horse in my bed:p

LOL! You watch too many Mafia movies!! We don't do horse heads anymore. We'll just break a thumb or a kneecap, that's all.
