Video I made about kayaking for a website I'm involved in. All good fun, and very wet!

Hi Simon,
that was excellent, really enjoyed it, Well done.
PS. I might be slightly biased though as I have considered getting a kayak lol
Cheers John
Thanks John. I'm hankering after a kayak myself. I'm trying to find the perfect lightweight portable HD camera to take out into the wilderness. I had to shoot on the River Wye from an open canoe with the EX3 for that video, which wasn't easy.
nice work. was out on the Thames near Henley this afternoon, with family and 3 kayaks. There be worse ways of spending the afternoon
:)
Great video.
Could I ask what software you used to produce the title sequences?
Nice piece. Assuming you bagged the Ex3 for some of it? Did you hire in a case or own one? Nice visuals throughout, my only small (hopefully constructive) critism is the audio levels seemed a bit lower on some of the interviewees. However I did listen to it on my crappy laptop speakers set at low volume, so it could be my harward misrepresenting your audio.
Liked the tilt down into frame interview starts. Did you do several takes on this or were you tilting the camera randomly throughout a longer segment hoping you'd get lucky for a usable soundbite? I only suggest the latter since they seem unrehearsed.

The animated logos were made with Apple Motion. I'm not a very good animator and usually steer well clear of apps like After Effects etc. It's my mortal dread if a client wants things animated!

Nope. There wasn't much need on this shoot. The Canyoning one needed a covered camera. The trouble is that a fully sealed case such as the Ewa Marine flexible housing costs around £700. For the amount of use it would get it isn't worth it, and I can't find anyone that rents them.

It only took a couple of takes. I just started with the camera tilted up and gave the interviewee a cue to start talking and I tilted down as he started.
very nice.
