At time of posting you now have 3345 members.

When i joined, you had just passed 3000. Ahem, a year or two ago!

Why not stump up for a bottle of Bolly for the 4000th member, and watch those numbers scroll............

Peter,

Not wishing to appear too negative but the idea of the board isn't just to drag in any Tom, Dick or Harriet from the Internet for the sake of numbers but, instead, to offer a worthwhile place for people who are interested in video editing to help and be helped and to generally hang out.

That doesn't mean No. 4000 won't get something, just that I don't want to encourage people to join, just to bang up the numbers.

Oh, and a year or two ago, we had about 3000 members - and then the hard disk on which the board was situated coughed, fell over and died, and we didn't have a back up nor even a list of members.

We thought we'd use that opportunity to change BB software - that a lot of people didn't like - and lost a lot of members from doing so.

Pete,
If you joined a year or two ago how come you are still a junior member?

Puzzled

ps Tom Dick and Harriet say you can join them - at anytime - for a drink. But first you will need to get your coat!

1st to d.c.

Dave, you missed my gentle cough in the above.
I don't imagine you promote many members of a full two weeks standing, with little to contribute, but a "Pythonesque" sense of the surreal.

2nd to b.c.

Point taken, but I have to say that this is my first experience of a truly interactive magazine, and it is an awesome (not in the sad American sense of the word) feeling.

I don't want to get profound..... I'd lose my lunch; but do you think Johannes Gutenburg, in his wildest dream, ever imagined such a thing!

The doomsayers of the internet simply don't have a clue of what is about to hit them.

In a strangely subdued tone,

Thats all folks.
