Mini DV Deck

I'm getting ready to purchase a mini dv deck, what do you guys think of the Sony DSR11. If not the DSR11 what decks would you guys recommend for around 1000 pounds or 1600 hundred dollars. All feedback is welcome and appreciated.

The DSR-11 is a fantastic deck. I have one. It is very much considered a workhorse/Trojan, which can be used and abused.

At that price, the DSR-11 is the way to go, unless you fancy waiting some (unknown) time for its HD replacement.

(I have no information on that, just a hunch it's coming one day.)
