Hi
Read the information that Mpeg Streamclip provide:
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR WMV EXPORT: if you want to export to WMV... the free Flip4Mac WMV Player stops at 30 seconds; for full length export you have to buy Flip4Mac WMV Studio (flip4mac.com/wmv_studio.htm).

You've only got the free plug-in version of Flip4Mac WMV installed.

You need the $49 "WMV Studio" version. Then, MPEG Streamclip (or Quicktime Pro 7 itself, or any QT-enabled application) will export longer WMV clips.

Hi
No, I don't think Microsoft have allowed any free ones, it has to be licensed (= paid for).
Once you have the full WMV Export component then QT Pro, or Mpeg Streamclip or any other QT application will be able to transcope your movie.

I think Streamclip comes with an optimising plug-in to get a better encode.

No - sorry - I wasn't clear - you do need Flip4Mac WMV Studio for enable QT Pro to export WMV files.

You don't need to use WMV for PP, take an H264 from FCP or Compressor, change the file extension from .mov to .mpg and drop into PP, right click + properties in PP to make it autoplay or clickable play.
