I have updated my system to the new 1.6 software. I deleted the old 1.5 (+SP 1).
When I attempted the first capture test, the video was pratically black in the capture window screen. When I played it back from disc, it showed up OK on the NTSC monitor, but still black on capture window.
Then when I imported the file into Premiere to edit, the same problem occurred, so I cannot see anyting on the record/play viewers in Premiere, but appears OK on the NTSC monitor.
Any Suggestions?
Try changing your settings to analog and digital output. (if they're not set already)
Yes, that was the first thing I checked. Basically I used the same procedure to set up the new system as I had with the old, and I have this problem show up anew.
Try choosing "software inlay" when playing back in Premiere
Did the inlay solve your problem?
Where's that software inlay choice found again?
open premiere. choose:
project>
project settings>general>advanced>inlay
Let me know if that solves the problem.
OK-Thanks-the software inlay got my video back on the computer as before. But just as before, it appears darker than it should be (in comparison to the NTSC monitor). any reason for that?
Also, there does not seem to be any improvement in the functionality of Premiere's features such as reverse and fast play from the keyboard etc. any hope for that?
finally, I am trying tonight a 100 minute playback test to tape to check sync and video freezing, my original problem. I'll report back after that is done. Thanks.
