Since upgrading to Liquid 7 from 6 I'm having trouble capturing via firewire, at first it was intermittent and I managed to capture 4hrs. but now there's just an initial frozen frame, the tape transport controls always work. This has only happened since upgrading to 7, I find I can capture in Studio 9 but if I open Liquid 6 or 7 I can't then capture with Studio until I reboot. All I've done is install 7, new graphics drivers from ATI and ASIO4ALL I had to do the later because of no audio using the AC97 driver, doing this also stopped Real Player from working but I've got that going again, I can't understand why it worked at first.
Any advice please?
Mick
Mick,
Have you installed the latest build of Liquid? I understand that there was an issue with the capturing in early releases of v7.
Also, which version of ATI Graphics card and drivers do you have? Check the Pinnacle forums, but there have been problems with some.
Chris
Thanks Chris
It is Liquid 7.2 and ATI RADEON 9600 SERIES Graphics, Liquid wouldn't start until I updated the ATI drivers.

I asked Avid this question and they told me to close all processes except explorer and System processes before opening the program and it works!

That's good advice for any video editing software, the last thing you want is for the cpu to be going off and doing its own thing.
