Just tried to import HD from a Panasonic HDC HS9 to a Win 7 laptop, for a friend.

The supplied HD writer 2.5E wouldn`t load, and the Panasonic site shows how to upgrade to the win 7 version, but there`s no provision to download it.

Any idea what the next step is please?

The latest version is HD3, and maybe that would sort the problem.

not the complete software

If it's like the version I got with my sd100 you only download a small setup file from Panasonic which then loads the rest in from the cd - it does work on windows 7 tho'.

On a semi decent computer you could always download vlc player and play the mts files from the STREAM folder. - better from a copy on the hard disk than the sd card in a card reader!!

Thanks Tom.
Found HD writer AE 3.0 Publisher Panasonic Corp. after download it`s a file manager with the name of “iLivid” – Giveaway of the day!

Please confirm this is to import HD from the HDC HS9.

Thanks Pete-W. Not sure about the small setup file, there`s no information. We have copied to the HDD, and vlc plays the files. Doing it that way, doesn`t transfer the dated folders.

Does this software exist?

Livid is a video down-loader, nothing to do with Panasonic HD cameras! It also doesn`t like to be deleted-which almost made me Livid!!!

A search finds HD AE 3. Click on the download link and I get a PDF reader, or AVS converter. I just go round and round in circles, not getting anywhere. I wish those two would go away…….

Thanks Pete-W.

I had seen that, and hoped for an easier solution. I`ll send him that link, and hope he can do it.

Panasonic seem to have fallen off the rails with this!
