If Steven Hood, the reviewer, reads this Forum I would be interested to know if Western Digital are still making their disks with a jumper distinction between Master drive (with Slave) and single drive (no slave). Where's the problem, you ask?

The problem comes when you have drives in caddies and the drives are shuffled around according to the job in hand. If a WD set as a Master ends up with no Slave then it won't work until the caddy is opened up and the drive is re-jumpered as single. So WD drives in caddies have to be left as Slaves.

Steven, is this still the case?
