I have just bought the above mobo and have set the cpu frequency at 133 MHz but it fails to boot or illuminate the screen. Resetting it to the default of 100 MHz boots OK but the processor runs at 1050 MHz. Help please - what must I set to get it run at 1.4?
Thanks guys. When I tried it initially at 133 MHz the int. speaker squaulked like crazy and I was afraid to try again until you reassured me with your posting. And yes, it was a 266 MHz FSB but it is now registering working at 1400 MHz thanks. I don't know what I did wrong the first time!
BTW I am trying to set the system up on dual boot 98se and 2000 using my old Miro DC30 and DV300 cards with prem 6.01 and raid using the latest downloads from Pinnacle for the boards. I will let this board know how I get on.

Peter,
I have just set up a GA-7DXR with a 1500+ XP Athlon. I think the same settings should apply to the 1.4. Set J19 & 20 both to 1-2 close. (Manual p.8.) All switches in CLK_SW
set to on. SW2 set to "Auto": 1,2,3,4 "off", 5 "on". This worked perfectly for me.

Didn't AMD make different 200FSB & 266FSB versions of the 1.4 Athlon? It may be worth checking that your processor is the right version?

Interested in the "squarked" bit as the number of "squark's" tell us the nature of the problem. One short one if fine and normal, any other number signifies a problem

If you still have the problem count them and post the number
