System requirement for Dazzle II for optimum performance

Hi,

I am a novice and I am planning on setting up Dazzle II.

Could someone please suggest a system configuration designed to give optimum performance?

At present I am using PII 700M Hz with 40 GB hard disk.

Suggestions are most welcome and thanks in advance.

First and foremost, you should have a second HD for just storing video files. Don't put them on the same HD as your system/program files. Stick with 7200 RPM or better. There are many 80-120GB drives for minimum cost.

Second: RAM. The more the merrier. 512MB should be OK - more is better.

That's a good start.

Thanks JVID!!

Now that my planned system configuration seems to be taking shape but I have two dealers, one suggesting that I buy a SKG hard disk and the other one saying that I won't need it and a 12 KODA 7200 rpm hard disk would work very well!!

I have had one of them explain the difference between the two to me but so far it has all been Greek to me!!

Could someone please comment on a SKG hard drive and if video creation with Dazzle II will give better results with it?
