Hi. Just read a post further down and the site www.omni-systems.co.uk being recommended. Does anyone know if this system sounds any good? No monitor comes with it but the price still seems like quite a bargain:

seems ok but i would want to know what dvd re-writer it had , and add a second hard drive , smaller , as the o/s drive and use the 160gb for the video captures.

i'm sure you could buy a similar system from dell etc for the same money.

Thanks for the reply.

Yep I thought it a good idea to get a second drive when funds allow to use for system files. I'll send a mail to the company and ask what the DVD writer is?

I'll also check out the dell site in a mo'.

I take it systems in PCworld/Dixons etc are not really good value??

depends upon what else you might want to stick in the machines.

personally wouldn't touch any of the following

packard bell
pc worlds 'hewlett packard' desktops.
fujitsu / icl laptops
anything from viglen.
