Hi

I am working on a system that using a CF Microdirve as a hard drive. I have sucessfully installed Windows XP Pro SP2 on to it. However, Xp assigns the drive as a removeable drive. This prevents me from installing certain microsoft s/w on to it (.net framework)

Does anyone know how to make XP believe that a removeable drive is a fixed drive ? Perhaps there is a utility I can download available somewhere ?

Help someone please !

Open Device Manager, click on the + sign alongside "Disk drives", double-click on the CF Microdrive entry.

Click on the Policies tab, and make the change.

Reassuring, isn't it? It looks like KSC signed in, posted a query and waited 8 minutes, then simply went away. Sometimes, I wonder why we bother.

Get my test cards document, and cards for 625, 525, 720 and 1080. Thanks to Gavin Gration for hosting them.
Camera settings documents are held by Daniel Browning and at the EBU
My book, 'Circles of Confusion' is available here.
Also EBU Tech.3335 tells how to test cameras, and R.118 tells how to use the results.
