What to do with those old 14-15" lcd monitors

Like most people we had a couple of old 15" lcd monitors knocking about spare after going on to 17 and 21" versions.

We also have an old portable tv in the bedroom. Difficult to justify exchanging for a 17" widescreen hd ready unit isn't it!!!!

Well on my trawl through the clearance stuff at maplins I came across a Kworld TV to vga unit, converts co-ax or rgb or s-video or component to vga at various resolutions with remote and audio function - cost 39.99 - cheaper than a flat screen for the bedroom. Picture quality (recieving from a video sender attached to sky box down stairs) was fine for bedrooms.

Anyway just thought I would mention it.

The second link above to Maplin doesn't work for me but this one does:

Well, nothing blown up yet, and it has a built in tuner, though not freeview. We just use it to convertthe signal from our av sender......
