Aaagh! Stupid bloody browser never refreshes. Had to refresh about 15 times then!

Yes, new site is a lot better laid out. But still easy to get around. Good job.

Yup..I must say I love the
new site too. Did you include the URLs you asked your devoted readers to submit earlier this year ? I've yet to have a good dig around but will do...the layout looks great, would love to see some pics of Cathy Barry though..maybe next time ?

Vega1xxx,

*I* still have a lot of work to do, in terms of getting stuff ready for Mark to include, including an update of the issue contents, and the links.

Hopefully, I'll find time to do this in the coming week. The contents stuff should only take another three or four hours, though the urls may take a bit longer.

Find that time, though, is the big problem.

Morse,

As for having mug shots - no chance!

I know that the only reason we get so many people coming along to see us when we exhibit at shows is to find out what we look like (and, frankly, when they find out, they get a horrible shock!)

Morse, there is a site (or maybe I mean sight) where our esteemed editor can be seen. http://home.freeuk.net/computervideo/Fishing/fishing.html

aaaahhhhhhh...Bob,
I feel your pain. I too am trying to update my website www.bigdogz.co.uk with a directory for amateur actors/Actresses to display their talents. I think it will be a good source for FilmMakers to go to once they want to cast for their latest project. I got the idea when I tried searching the web for actresses. Could'nt get hold of Cathy Barry so I tried to look for sites with actresses for hire- could'nt find zip so thats how I came across the idea. so I shall be posting details once it is ready.

Big Dogz? Is that another reference to Cathy Barry?

Gladders...

Am I right to assume the pic of Bob is the one bottom right (on 800x600)!!! Is the line coming out of the mouth a permanent Firewire connection?

'Tis an old joke, but...

David.

Hah Pete,
you had to stick it in
and break it off..heh heh...naw, the Big dogz is the name for my lil' drama group. we've been making parody movies since 89
and we resurfaced in 99 in the form of a website and than last year I invested in DV equipment so we're in the process of making movies again. I would love Cathy Barry to join but she is proving difficult to get hold off..unfortunatly.

I must be missing something, it looks just like it always did to me, both at home and at work. What am I doing wrong?

Get my test cards document, and cards for 625, 525, 720 and 1080. Thanks to Gavin Gration for hosting them.
Camera settings documents are held by Daniel Browning and at the EBU
My book, 'Circles of Confusion' is available here.
Also EBU Tech.3335 tells how to test cameras, and R.118 tells how to use the results.

Hit Refresh,

Fail in that hit Ctrl+Refresh.

Otherwise you are both blessed with the gift of foresight. Any chance of a few lottery numbers?

PS - If none of that works dump the temp internet files

I'm on Netscape 4.7 at work. Just binned the Temp Internet Files, and it still looks exactly the same as it always has. I'm on IE4 at home, same result. Can someone tell me what's different so I can get a magnifying glass out and have a look for it?

Try going here http://198.78.168.254/ which is where the old site is redirecting to.

This is really spooky, the big fellow was exactly as i pictured him: Big mouth, Greying, quite a beer gut.

But who was the bloke with the beard?

Bob has corrected me, the chap who looks like a fish is John Ferrick, but I still don't know who the good looking fellow with the beard is.

I think you'll have to post a picture of yourself either on this site or in the magazine, Bob.

I'm last in the flippin' queue again.

I've done all that to no avail. I'm on IE 5.

Can anyone direct me to the sacred site?

I'd be so happy.

Now that is very good indeed!

Must have taken a lot of hard work with the mag and board to sort as well.

Congratulations to you all. It's much appreciated.

Pete,
That url from Chaifox wouldn't go for me last night but shot straight there this afternoon.

Computer must have been tired...

Cheers, Red.

Any credit has to go to Mark Newman, our webmaster, and any shortcomings are probably down to me for not having provided Mark with various bits and pieces to upload that I said I would do!

Excellent new site, Guys well done.

Yes it does look better (but looks are not everything), although the old site had a warm feel about it like a well thumbed magazine (no not a CB one).

But I was more worried if the content, and ease of wandering around was the same, well I just like to say it's better, being much easier and intuitive to explore.

Once again well done to all involved.

Mick

Do I get the 50 pence now Mark?
