Why have there been three(at least) false announcements about the release of the 1.6 driver set?

I realize that, I was really just wondering why the incorrect announcements. Stability is extremely important and I certainly do not wish to rush the process. Thanks!

The 3 May 2001 press release onthe dazzle-europe site states that V1.6 will be included in June. There are about 2 weeks left before it is late. Keep in mind that about 99% of all commercial software misses the announced ship date.

Also, I suspect that they cannot ship it until it passes the Adobe certification tests, which may depend on Adobe scheduling of the tests.

The first beta version should be available any day now. As soon as it passes beta testing, the release version will be available on the website. So, it will not be long now. It will be worth the wait because it will have brilliant new features.

The Release 1.6 Beta, build 224, is now available for downloading at the dazzle-europe seb site, in the Beta-Sofware section. Probably good to check the ReadMe file for details and limitations.

Much to our regret, the version 1.6 does not capture a video in a format AVI for Ulead MSP 6.0.

It is possible to add, that Adobe Premiere 6.0 works very astably. All hopes for the version working with Ulead MSP 6.0.

Yes, it does capture AVI files for Ulead MSP. When you start a new project in FAST.forward, it asks if you want to create an AVI project or DIF project. The new features are described in the Readme file.

After waiting for Fast.Forward version 1.6 for weeks, I downloaded it few days ago and used it to capture 2 reels of Hi8 movies. I gave up using it and switched back to version 1.5. All the clips have to be recaptured again because the new FF has two major bugs.
1. The "Use Windows Sound System" options automatically switched on everytime I quit and reload Fast.Forward. It is quit annoying as it caused most of the captured movies with unsynchonized videos and voices.
2. It can only play back a captured clip from the very begining. Because of this bug, I can't use FF to do any editing working.

Did you guys experience the same problem?

Agree that the clip editor starting PLAY at the beginning of the clip rather than at the slider position is a royal pain and a mistake. It should be changed i the next make

You can select to disable the WIN sound systemm and save that as setup file (.FFS), then load that setup when you start FF.

And I agree that there should be a way to readily change the default setup.
