ok, so this time around it's half the length of the' boudoir' clip i posted a few weeks ago (and the use of the same song and extreme colour-grading was requested by the client)
what do u think this time?? perhaps there's still things wrong and i'll nail it the third time?!
for me 3rd go is not required - thought it was excellent Richard - good pace, right length for a promo, excellent camerawork, good use of graphics - I'd sign up - guess you didnt use the 5D, that would have got them thinking!
by the way - tell Mike his shots will be better if he removes the strap from in front of the lens ;)
hahaha, you were very quick to spot the 'easter egg' :) i suppose i should change that for mike with a bit of photoshopping....
cheers very much for the comments - the boudoir one was criticised on here for being too long, so hopefully i got this one just right, as a taster...
p.s. yes, mike knows i'm all into mk2, 7d etc... so next time, i'll use those instead
very nice, just found the ending a bit abrupt.
yeah, me too!!! i didn't want the same song ending as the boudoir one, so i went for this instead - but it does kinda lose the flow a tad, i agree :)
I think it would work if it ended on a logo with a bit more reverb or sustain on the last note.
yeah, good one! if i re-edit it (esp. to photoshop mike's strap), then i coulod give it a go...
thanks
Great shoot!
If you do re-edit.
The strap over the lens has gotta go (why did you leave it in?).
I would also cut shot 2 by a millisecond to lose the model licking her lips, looking away
and beginning to raise her hand. Start is great with that little zip as she leans back. Agree with other guys about the end shot, rest of clip is too good to leave it like that.
Content for togs is good, seeing all the angles, peek of a reflector, constant reviewing of shots,
movement of models etc, there's a lot there without giving too much away. Love the idea of showing off poses in the still cameras review screen, very inventive!
Bet that guy is kicking himself at 1:01, you got the shot of the model looking up with those fantastic eyes and he's reviewing one of her looking down :-)
I thought the whole production was excellent and it didn't hurt that the girls were stunning. Can you describe how you achieved the bit where the picture changed to a newsprint still?
