im trying to find a adapter for tv out on my graphics card.its a nvidia geforce fx 5200(sony).it as a 7 pin(four in a straight line then three more below it).i have a lead taken from a dell laptop but it only has a audio style connection on the other end.so the picture quality is pretty bad.
does anyone know where i can look for a lead with a s video connection.
i allready tried dell, nvidia and sony.
any help greatly appreciated
cheers neil
each of these adaptors is/can be different.
many can be used for video out and in and s-video and/or composite.
i have some 'spare' connectors for my ti4800 at work , i'll look on monday and see if i have the one you are after.
cheers gary.
your a gent
ok , searched my pile of cables.
no 7 pin to s-video , then it dawned on me.
the outer 4 pins
1XX1
1x1
are s-video positions , so just try a s-video cable in the slot.
what you may find is that the plastic key piece is a little large for the hole it needs to go into . you can remove it , it's only a keying post , just be careful inserting/removing the cable
