Hello friends. I got my system woking perfectly except by just one thing. When I play my vyr I can see the video running through the FastCap Screen but when I start to capture the screen freezes directly. The result of the captures is absolutely perfect, I don't understand why I can't see the video while it's being captured. Please help me. Thanks very much.
That is perfeclty normal. You dont see the pic when you start the capture. If you want to see what you are recording you must monitor this on the tv screen that is connected to your vcr. Do not use the overlay it just doesnt work and no one uses it. Monitor the picture on your tv!!!!
Thanks very much friend. I understand my system is working full perfectly and this makes me happy. One thing if it's interesting. I work with a Pentium III at 933 Mhz, 128 Mb Pc-100 Ram, Two hard disks, one UW-SCSI 4'3 Gb (wich is 4 years old) and another UDMA Seagate Barracuda IV with 80 Gb (two weeks old). I can say you all that with this configuration I can capture at top quality with 0 frames lost (compression at 1:4 and 768x576 - PAL with audio cd quality). I think actually UW SCSI is not needed, then I undestand AV-Master is one of the best solutions about converting analog signals to Avi files. Thanks again.
I use a P3 450 with an IBM Deathstar 75gig
No dropped frames! From what I gather there is no point in using higher than 6:1 compression as it makes no difference?
Yes I have also heard that modern day analogue capture is not as good as the AV Master!
Any other questions just give me a shout!
