Hi Guys,

I've got the FX1, and want to attch a wireless receiver and a shotgun mic, but only have one accessory shoe. Is there an adapter available that would turn one shoe into 2, or is there another way of fixing the receiver?

Thanks

JP

We have a Z1, and there is a holder to fix the mic (held on with 2 screws). Also, there is a cold shoe attachment to slide the radio mic receiver into (or perhaps a light) . Radio mics often come with an attachment bracket to slide into the cold shoeI think your camera has the same facilities.

You can also buy adapters from places like Jessops which give double cold shoe brackets, if that is what you need. They are pretty cheap, as they are only plastic.

I prefer Red to match my hand-bag:D

I use same tactic as Hallmark with a Z1

Alternatively see DOUBLE SHOE ADAPTOR on

I've made a little 'L' bracket that attaches to my Z1 and will presumably attach to your FX1

You could attach all sorts of things to it.

Rycote do a very nice multiple hot-shoe bracket. I think I bought mine from Canford - about £14, I recall.

I bought 2 of the Rycote adaptors from Prestons. Perfect for the job!

The Rycote Hot Shoe Extension will do the job.

Thanks to everybody for their replies, I've managed to get an adapter now and I'm hopeful that's the last bit of kit I need for a while.

Thanks again

Hi Cary,

I'd been looking for a hotshoe adapter fpr weeks, so I posted in the forum; after I did I thought I'd try one more search and found an old thread in DVdoctor through google with a similar problem and found this link

It was exactly what I was looking for.
