I have edited a video in HDV 16.9 format and have a problem in transferring back to DV tape using a Sony HDV camcorder. Everything seems to go okay but it only records the first 1min 50 secs of the 10 min video. It does that beautifully. I can't find anyway of selecting how long I wish it to record. When I select Export to tape It doesn't give me any choices of duration. A panel comes up immediately saying its transcoding to HDV and further shows progress of rendering and recording. The progress bar finishes showing recording after 1min 50 sec. I must be missing something, can anyone help please?

I've not used Premiere in youks but do you have a bar above the timeline that selects the amount to be rendered/selected? You used to have a yellow? bar that could be shorter than the project and unless you pulled the end to the right, it would do what you've suggested happens/

Thanks for your response Dave. When I used Premiere 6.5 there was a yellow Bar which does exactly what you say and of course I was aware of it. With Pro 2 it is different, the Bar is a very pale Purple colour or something like, so pale I didn't know it was there, and the other thing is that with 6.5 when you added a clip to the timeline, the yellow bar automatically moved along covering the length of the clip,. With Pro 2 it obviously doesn't and it has to be moved along manually. Anyway your prompting made me find the bar and now the camera records the correct length. BTW have you got a white horse, I ask because you are always charging to my rescue. Thank goodness. Cheers Roy
