Just wanted to say thanks for the tip last issue on the ADS Pyro Firewire kits. Just bought 3 kits at work and mounted 2 45GB IBM disk and one CD-RW.
The two IBMs worked right away, but I have not found a way to make the CD-RW work yet.
Anyway. The Pyro is a great piece of kit!

I know this might sound REALLY stupid but did you use the ADS-supplied utility that switches the Pyro bay so that it is suitable for use with CD drives?
If you did, is the CD-RW working okay for CD use (but not for CD-RW), or is it not working at all?
Either way, I think this is a case for contacting ADS directly.
