Hi All

The glitter cannons did not fire at a recent event, does anyone know of an After effects tutorial that simulates this effect.
Cheers Steve

Re: After effects
Don't know about After Effects but Boris Particle System looks a possibility.

Re: After effects
In After Effects, select the "Effect" menu, select "Simulation" then "Particle Playground" or "CC Particle World" .....these are where you will find the starting points of useful effects....

They are quite powerful and complicated tools which I have not used for well over ten years (and then I was making a swarm of bees!) so not sure I can offer much help myself....  but as you will see, the default settings are a tiny bit like a fountain and the controls available are sensibly labelled. If you apply the effects to a solid black layer and use "Add" mode to put the particles on your shot, it might be a good starting point.

I suggest your best bet is probably to search online for tutorials with the words "After Effects" and "Particle Playground" or "CC Particle World".

Good Luck....
