Analogue-DV DIRECT through Digital8

For anyone using a Datavision widget and Digital8 camcorder, be aware that not only does it enable analogue inputs, it also gives you an extra menu function, AV-DV ON, which enables direct throughput of analogue to Digital, making your camcorder a DV/Ana. convertor. I was previously under the impression that this feature was only available on the PC only LynxDV solution, so had been up till now copying analogue footage onto Digital tape then outputting separately.
