I get this effect whenever I add a post, and scroll up and down a bit to review the current thread during posting, and then review the new thread after my post. Note the wayward scroll bar detritus lying about the place.
It doesn't happen on my Win 2K laptop, or anywhere else as far as I can tell.
However, it has happened to my on my Mac for years, despite several system and IE upgrades.
Is it just me?

I have something similer happen with my own website. I have a frame on the left and if I check it in Microsoft IE with the menues visible at the top (i.e. a scroll bar appears along my left hand frame) then go to another site the scroll bar stays there regardless, just floating and getting in the way of every other site. I have to shut Explorer down and open it up again from the dock (Mac OSX.2jag).
This problem dosn't happen with the new Safari from Apple. I havn't used IE for over a month now, using Safari instead as it is way faster and more reliable at loading pages etc.

No. I've had a similar (intermittent) effect for as long as I've been around this site. I normally just kill it by closing the window and opening a new one.

Hi
Very intermittently - but not enough to cause a problem. However I have another web site I maintain where I dont get the vertical scroll bar on a long page if the page is arrived at from the opening 'no-scroll' home page page. That is irritating...
Regards
At least this problem has disappeared with the new version of Infopop. Hooray!
I've long since using IE on Mac. Safari is much better.

Hi Colin
Why not just post your link here
rather than reviving an old thread like this - there are few enough Mac posters to this forum as it is.
Thanks for the heads-up
Hello Mooblie - I clicked on the thumbnail and got the message 'The specified Server could not be found' inside a plain I.E. page, so I can only deduce what's happening from the remarks posted.
Hi
After 16 months I expect Mooblie's deleted the image from his server space...
Hadn't thought of that. Also, I've learned of another forum for info... !
