Just curious to know, is anyone using a NanoFlash to record weddings or as a backup to the SXS/SDHC cards.

Thanks in advance.

Tony.

Lot of money to spend Tony, enormous overkill for Weddings, but if you have some broadcast work, its the thing to have.

Your right there Colin, weddings only, no broadcast work.
Its a backup recording I was wondering about hence the Nanoflash.

Tony, if your worry is about the security of your recordings, then just make the investment in as many SxS cards as you need to cover an entire wedding. They're totally reliable. The things that Colin links to are no more reliable than SDHC cards. But then again, many of us have found SDHC cards to be totally reliable.... you pays your money and takes your risk.

Thanks Colin and Mark for you help.
Colin, it is simultaneous recording that I was thinking of but thanks for taking the time to check it out.

Mark, I do have 3 SxS cards and thats what I thought too or did think, that they were as reliable as they come, until I read this.

I was about to buy another SxS card, a 16gig or another 32gig.

I also use the ATP SDHC cards along with the MxML reader (when I fill up my SxS cards) and so far, no problems, thats the way you want it :)

Thanks.

I have one of the SEXYHDR units. For the money you just cant argue with the recording time, I get just under 300 minutes or something like that, for me to have spent that amount of money out on SXS cards would have been well over a grand, all I would say about sexyhdr is that you can get them on ebay at the end of every month cheaper than 200 quid as it looks like the guys have a 50 quid off sale every now and then So if you keep your wits about you, you can get one for 150. I spoke to a young man called Mark and he was really very supportive. I was a bit ummmmm as I made the purchase but it arrived next day, plugged it in and it worked exactly as I had hoped it would, been using it daily now for 6 weeks and its working really well, at the end of the day the money to shell out on one is peanuts so give one a whirl,

a mate has a couple of Sony HDs that bolt to the EX1 and has no problems (I'm not sure if this prevents the cards from being used?)

Where would you buy the NF at a good price?
