AV Master & Fire Wire Card Co-existence?

Having just (in time perhaps!) acquired a Fire-wire DV-in enabled 3 chip Panasonic DX110, naturally I want to add a DV IN and OUT card (now on a limited budget!) but keep my analogue S-VHS options open via my good old AV Master.

I run Ulead MSP 5.2 on a 333MHz PII 128Mb.

(BobC says watch your IRQs!)

Does anyone have any advice about having both an AV and a OHCI DV card in the same box?

We have successfully used AV Master in the same system as DV.now and DV.now Lite. As Bob says, just make sure they each have their own IRQ (AV Master's IRQ should be between 9 and 15).

One advantage of using AV Master and DV.now together is that you can import AV Master-captured video into the FAST.forward software to convert it to the DV format. It can then be edited together with DV footage in Premiere 5.1.

The only problem is that the system you describe does not meet the minimum spec.

Other OHCI compliant cards can also be used in the same system as an AV Master.

Thanks for the advice.
-Check OHCI compliance
-Check for IRQ conflicts.
-Possibly a little underpowered at 333MHz.
-Type 1 or Type 2 file problems with my existing MSP 5.2 software?

Some upgrade planning (and saving) called for?
