BenQ has announced three new additions to its digital camera range with the X600, C500 and C800, all of which bear a striking resemblance to other cameras.

The first up is the X600, which sports a 3x SMC Pentax zoom lens, 2.5-inch LCD and although it claims to be the world's smallest 6 megapixel camera 19mm, the Pentax Optio60, which is imitates, is actually thinner at 15mm.

Next up is the sleek looking 8 megapixel 3x zoom C800, which also does a good impersonation of an Optio.

Nikon S2 lookalike, the BenQ DC C500 is a lightweight five megapixel fixed focus camera with PictBridge compatibility.
It will be available in October, while the DC X600 and the DC C800 will ship in November.

The featured 2.5” high resolution LTPS LCD screen and VGA movie recording at 30fps with AVI (MPEG-4) format ensures comfortable viewing and super smooth movie clips. The BenQ X600 additionally offers a smart photo-editing function including trimming, resizing, rotation, color filter, movie editing, which can be done via a touch of a few buttons instead of a computer.

BenQ DC C800 The compact BenQ DC C800 features 8 mega pixels CCD, 3X Optical Zoom, MPEG-4 movie format and a large 2.4” TFT LCD screen for clear and comfortable photo viewing. The camera is equipped with Printer Mode for direct printing via compatible printer and Burst Mode, which allows 4 shots to be taken per snap. The camera can be used as a Dictaphone and is bundled with 32 MB built-in memory.

BenQ DC C500 The fashionable and stylish BenQ DC C500 is the lightest 5 megapixel digital camera with fixed-focus lens in the market. This small and portable camera is coupled with a 1.7-inch high resolution LCD screen and offers PicBridge compatibility for easy printing without the need for going through the computer. The BenQ DC C500 camera also supports PC camera for video conferencing.

The new BenQ DC C500 will be available on the market in October and the BenQ DC X600 and C800 will be launched in November.

Do you know a review of the DC C500? Are there any example Pictures taken by the DC C500? Does BenQ make good digitalcameras?

Have you any more info' on the E500.
Heard of problems with front lit images?
Compared with Canon 350D / 20D.
I like the anti-dust feature and 4/3 system.
Would appreciate your views.
