Suggestions most welcome (this is for a family friend).

Bella look nice but are pricey. This one from EditorsKeys is about the right price but the Mac keys (Ctrl Alt Command) are in the wrong place.

I know you can get keyboard sticker kits for very little (relatively speaking) but doubt that they'd stay in place for long.

I'm keen to help Nathan make a good buying decision based on experiences of forum members.

I have a keyboard sticker kit that has stayed in place for over four years!

I use the black version of this and it works very well.

Sometimes I feel as if I'm editing on a Sinclair Spectrum! :)

The news company I work with has the Bella Pro Series 3.0 and I love them...should get one for myself when I get my iMac and Final Cut Studio.

The thing I like most is the jog wheel which you don't get with the slim mac style keyboards however on the other hand, you have to deal with the heavy action of the "Classic PC" keyboard.

the ones we use which i think are nice are the actual apple logic keyboards for FCP

The thin rubbery ones that go over the new thin Apple keyboards are nice, but personally I've learnt the shortcuts, the symbols mostly look like a mess and make typing and pain in the arse. Of course you can argue that you can already touchtype, but I still need the visual cues for typing even if I'm not looking at all the keys. Duncan.

That's the beauty of them - keep them on for editing and take them off for everything else. My one has helped me learn the keyboard shortcuts.
